Chiropractic during pregnancy is an important part of prenatal care.
Whether you are trying to conceive or already pregnant, having a neuro-spinal system that is clear and open creates the optimal environment for a comfortable and healthy pregnancy. At True Health Chiropractic, we are here to support you as your body goes through one of the biggest transformations, creating a new life. When in balance, an open nervous system allows your body the ability to optimize position, growth and connection with the newest member of your family. With consistent chiropractic care our patients have the opportunity to experience:
-
A more comfortable pregnancy
-
Shorter labor time
-
An increase in neural communication
-
More room for baby to grow
-
Improved energy levels
-
Fewer interventions
A study done by Dr Irvin Henderson MD (a member of the American Medical Association Board of Trustees) found that women who received regular chiropractic care during their third trimester, carried and delivered with more comfort.
Another study concluded that with regular chiropractic adjustments:
-
need for analgesics decreased by half during delivery
-
relieved intrauterine constraint
-
average amount of time spent in labor decreased by 24% in first time moms
Post pregnancy the demands of a mother’s body changes dramatically when taking care of a newborn. Due to this, the support that we provide our moms also changes. True Health makes sure you can take care of your new family while functioning optimally as well.
